About Connie Health

Connie Health is a fast-growing Medicare brokerage on a mission to empower older Americans to make confident, worry-free Medicare plan decisions. We offer a tech-enabled Medicare navigation platform that combines an AI-driven technology with local Medicare experts to help people select optimal healthcare plans and navigate their benefits. Our culture is mission-driven, collaborative, and innovative, as we strive to transform healthcare through data-driven insights and personalized guidance. We value Relationships First, Data-Driven Decision Making, and being Accountable in delivering unbiased, high-quality advice to our customers.

Role Overview

Connie Health is seeking a versatile and experienced Fullstack Engineer to join our Agent Experience team and build the core tools that our Medicare agents rely on every day to serve customers efficiently and accurately. This role is focused on developing high-impact applications that streamline agent workflows, reduce friction in the sales and service processes, and enable our agents to provide exceptional service and help their customers make informed healthcare decisions.

You will work across a modern tech stack: frontend experiences in Vue/Nuxt, backend services in TypeScript/NestJS, and data persistence in Postgres, all deployed on AWS with containerized infrastructure. Beyond feature delivery, you will play a key role in shaping system architecture, improving reliability and performance, and setting engineering standards for a product surface that is mission-critical to Connie Health’s growth and operational excellence. The ideal candidate is product-minded, technically rigorous, and motivated by building tools that directly empower frontline users.

This is a hybrid role, based out of our new Boston office near South Station.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain end-to-end features across our Agent Experience platform using TypeScript/NestJS, Vue/Nuxt, and Postgres.
  • Work on critical agent workflows such as lead management, enrollment, policy servicing, plan comparisons, and commissions visibility, with a focus on usability, performance, and reliability.
  • Architect and implement scalable backend services and APIs, ensuring clean domain models, well-defined contracts, and robust error handling.
  • Develop rich, responsive frontend interfaces that optimize agent productivity and reduce cognitive load.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, Sales, and Operations teams to translate complex business processes into intuitive, efficient experiences.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and contribute to architectural decisions.
  • Uphold engineering best practices for code quality, testing, and observability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring the stability and performance of our platform and internal tools.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on building scalable web applications.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern backend frameworks, preferably NestJS.
  • Deep experience building web applications with modern frontend frameworks, preferably Vue.js and Nuxt.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases, with hands-on experience designing schemas, writing complex queries, and optimizing performance in Postgres.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building internal tools or workflow-driven enterprise applications.
  • Experience using Datadog for application performance monitoring, logging, alerting, and production incident response.
  • Proficiency with Docker for containerization and deployment.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare or insurance industry, particularly with Medicare.
  • A product mindset with the ability to tie technical work to user outcomes and business impact.

Why Join Connie Health?

  • Great Culture.
  • Comprehensive health insurance plans.
  • Competitive salary and equity packages.
  • Unlimited vacation policy and generous holiday observances.
  • Monthly work from home stipend.
  • The opportunity to be part of a values-driven and hardworking group of people.

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
