Quoting Engineer

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quoting Engineer to join our contract manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience preparing accurate and competitive quotes for cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and electromechanical assemblies. This role is critical in supporting the sales process by analyzing customer requirements, generating detailed cost estimates, and developing pricing strategies for custom manufacturing projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret customer drawings, specifications, and bill of materials (BOMs) for quoting purposes.
• Identify components, materials, and processes required for manufacturing cable, harness, and electromechanical assemblies.
• Generate accurate cost estimates including materials, labor, tooling, overhead, and subcontracted services.
• Collaborate with procurement, production, and engineering teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy of quotes.
• Interface with customers to clarify requirements and provide timely, professional responses to quote requests.
• Track and manage quoting activities using VISUAL ERP system.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quoting processes and tools.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 years of quoting experience in a contract manufacturing environment focused on cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and electromechanical products.
• Strong understanding of electrical components, connectors, wire specifications, and assembly techniques.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards is a plus.
• Experience using ERP and quoting software.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
