Director of Talent

The Role
We’re looking for a Director of Talent to shape how we hire, develop, and grow our people. Reporting to the VP of People and managing one Talent Manager, this leader will own the full talent lifecycle — from attracting exceptional candidates to building meaningful learning and career development programs.
This role is both strategic and hands-on. You’ll build the infrastructure that enables growth while staying close to the employee experience.
What You’ll Own
Learning & Development
- Design and lead a comprehensive L&D strategy aligned to business priorities.
- Build scalable onboarding, leadership development, and manager capability programs.
- Advance our existing competency frameworks and enable career progression.
- Own and optimize learning and talent systems (LMS, performance platforms, engagement tools).
Culture & Employee Experience
- Lead engagement survey strategy, insights, and action planning.
- Translate employee feedback into measurable improvements.
- Strengthen a culture rooted in agility, ambition, collaboration, innovation, trust, and respect.
Talent Acquisition
- Own and evolve Spindrift’s Talent Acquisition strategy.
- Partner with leaders, hiring managers, and external recruiters to source and assess talent.
- Elevate our candidate experience and ensure our employer reputation reflects the strength of our consumer brand.
- Develop scalable hiring processes and reporting.
Team Leadership
- Manage and develop team members
- Build sustainable, high-quality talent infrastructure for a growing organization.
Requirements
Who You Are
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Talent, Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or People Strategy roles.
- Deep, hands-on experience designing and implementing L&D programs and talent systems (required).
- Experience leading or supporting Talent Acquisition is a plus.
- Proven experience building scalable programs in a growing company environment.
- Strategic thinker who is equally comfortable executing.
- Strong presence and ability to influence leaders across functions.
- High integrity, high standards, and energized by building.
Benefits
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $145,000 – $165,000, plus annual and long-term incentives
This range reflects the expected hiring range for this Director-level role in the Greater Boston area. Final compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
