Electrical Engineer
Job Title - Electrical Engineer
Project Location Burlington MA (Hybrid)
Project Duration - Full Time Direct Hire
Onsite hybrid Monday & Friday work from home, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in office.
The client is developing LVAD technology (heart pump) that helps people that are on the heart transplant list. Really cool technology. The preference is someone coming from medical device BUT they are open to other regulated industries like aerospace, DoD, automotive, etc. Preference for experience with battery technology and/or wireless communication. They will be doing new design/development for peripherals for this device battery, controller, battery charger, etc.
Senior/Staff Electrical Engineer
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- 7+ years of experience in electrical hardware design, ideally for medical or similarly regulated products.
- Strong background in battery management (BMS, PMICs) and support for multiple battery chemistries.
- Strong understanding of embedded firmware, sensor integration, and analog/digital circuit design.
- Proven track record taking a product through its full lifecycle: prototyping, production, field support, and failure analysis.
- Proficient with PCB tools (Cadence, Altium), and circuit simulation (LTSpice)
- Experience in low-power design and wireless connectivity (Cellular, BLE, NFC).
- Experience with using best-practice root cause analysis techniques backed by objective and data-driven engineering analysis
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards such as IEC 60601.
- Ability to write and develop automated test scripts using Windows or Linux OS, with experience writing or using Python/C for hardware testing and automation
- Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative and fast-paced R&D environment with global team members
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing technical documentation.
