Now Hiring: Skilled Mason Tender for Commercial New Construction – Cambridge, MA
We are seeking an experienced Mason Tender for long-term commercial new construction work in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This is a full-time opportunity offering competitive pay at $67.97 per hour for qualified candidates with strong commercial masonry experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform commercial masonry work on new construction projects
- Lay brick, block, and stone according to specifications
- Mix mortar, grout, and concrete to proper consistency
- Assist masons with material handling, scaffolding setup, and site preparation
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
- Follow OSHA safety standards and maintain a safe job site
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced commercial construction environment
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in commercial masonry or as a mason tender
- Experience with new construction projects (commercial buildings preferred)
- OSHA 10 Certification (required)
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work on scaffolding
- Strong knowledge of masonry tools, equipment, and safety procedures
- Reliable transportation to Cambridge, MA job site
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with block work, brickwork, stone installation, and concrete
- Ability to work independently and as part of a construction crew
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
