Paraprofessional
- Position: Special Education Paraprofessional

- Duration of Contract: New School Year 2025-26
- Assist special education teachers with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide support to students in both inclusive classrooms and resource rooms ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Adapt and modify materials or activities as needed to meet the diverse needs of students
- Reinforce instruction and provide assistance to students in completing assignments
- Assist with behavior management strategies and techniques to promote a positive and supportive classroom environment
- Maintain accurate records of student progress behavior and interactions
- Assist with the implementation of assistive technology and other specialized equipment as necessary
- Associates or Bachelors degree preferred Should have 48 college units
- Previous experience working with students with special needs is desirable
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Patience flexibility and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn about different disabilities and instructional strategies for students with special needs
- Ability to follow directions and carry out tasks effectively
