Administrative Assistant-Temporary 1 Week Per Month for 1 Year Position

Summary: We are seeking a reliable and welcoming Administrative Assistant to join The Care Center. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for students and visitors?greeting them with warmth, answering and directing phone calls, responding to inquiries, taking and forwarding messages, supporting school meals, and connecting visitors with the appropriate staff member. This is a temporary position for an average of 5-10 consecutive days per month. Areas of Responsibility: ? Answer phones and direct callers to the appropriate staff member. ? Sort and distribute incoming mail and process outgoing mail, including bulk mailings, as needed. ? Post-weekly attendance sheets notices. ? Order food for student and staff lunches and track participants. ? Set up and put away breakfast and lunch in compliance with State standards. ? Maintain a tidy, welcoming appearance of front office, foyer, student lunchroom and waiting area. Qualifications: ? You believe in The Care Center?s mission and values and are committed to supporting the communities we serve. ? Experience with general office tasks such as answering phones, managing mail/postage and other office equipment. ? Basic computer proficiency in Google Workspace and basic data entry. ? Flexible, reliable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. ? Positive and professional attitude and demeanor. ? Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. ? Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred. ? Must pass comprehensive Background Record Check. Hours, Location and Compensation: The Care Center is located at 247 Cabot Street in Holyoke. This is an hourly position for an average of 5-10 consecutive days per month. Work hours are 8am - 2:30pm, with some flexibility required. The rate of pay is \$22.00 per hour.
