Job Responsibilities:
The Department of Public Utilities Legal Division is transition to a new database platform. To ensure data integrity in the new system, we are looking for paralegals to help certify cases marked for closure. Requirements :
- The Department of Public Utilities (DPU) oversees investor-owned electric power, natural gas, and water companies in Massachusetts.
- The DPU Legal Division employs approximately 25 attorneys.
- The Legal Division is transitioning to a new database platform.
- To ensure data integrity in the new platform, the Division seeks paralegals to assist the attorneys in certifying their cases for closure.
- This includes reviewing dockets and ensuring the internal files match the external files.
- Paralegals will also be responsible for reviewing motions and preparing them for attorney (Hearing Officer) signature and issuance.
