Job Description
As a Commercial Kitchen Hood Cleaning Technician, you will travel to various commercial kitchens to perform hood, duct, and exhaust fan cleaning services. You will be based out of the Wakefield, MA office and transported to job sites from there. Your role involves using specialized equipment to remove grease and buildup from kitchen ventilation systems while ensuring compliance with NFPA 96 standards and safety protocols. Additionally, you will document your work with before-and-after photos and service reports and maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in clean and working order. The position requires flexible hours, including evenings and occasional weekends, depending on client needs.
Responsibilities
- Travel to commercial kitchens to perform hood, duct, and exhaust fan cleaning services.
- Use specialized equipment to remove grease and buildup from kitchen ventilation systems.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA 96 standards and safety protocols.
- Document work performed with before-and-after photos and service reports.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in clean and working order.
- General labor skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Troubleshooting capabilities
- Proficiency with hand tools
- Valid driver's license
- Comfortable completing general labor tasks
- Ability to work amongst a cleaning crew and under a foreman
You will have the opportunity to significantly increase your hourly wage by $10 in the first 8 months by obtaining two different certifications. The company values growth and offers a path to become a certified commercial kitchen hood installer.
Work Environment
You will work throughout the city of Boston, servicing commercial restaurants. The role involves working under a foreman and provides training opportunities to advance your skills in the field. The work is primarily performed during the first shift, Sunday through Thursday, starting at 6 am.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wakefield, MA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
