General Manager — Coffee-Focused Café & Market (Martha’s Vineyard)

Compensation: $85,000 – $95,000 / year + 2 weeks paid vacation

Relocation Required: Yes – must live on Martha’s Vineyard year-round

We’re opening a new year-round café and market on Martha’s Vineyard, built around great coffee, thoughtful food, and genuine hospitality. The space will include a full coffee program, a bakery, and a kitchen focused on simple, high-quality ingredients. Our goal is to create a warm, community-driven environment that values craftsmanship and care in every detail.

The General Manager will oversee all front-of-house operations and lead the café’s coffee program. We’re looking for someone with strong café or coffeehouse management experience who can balance operational precision with a love for hospitality. This person will also take ownership of the coffee program—training baristas, maintaining consistency, and helping shape the overall guest experience.

• Oversee daily café and coffee operations

• Lead barista training, espresso calibration, and beverage quality control

• Manage, schedule, and develop the front-of-house team

• Maintain financial targets for labor, cost of goods, and efficiency

• Collaborate with ownership and kitchen leadership on service flow

• Foster a professional, positive, and guest-focused culture

• 3–5+ years of café or restaurant management experience

• Hands-on barista experience and deep understanding of coffee preparation

• Strong leadership and organizational skills

• Calm, detail-oriented, and solutions-driven

• Excellent communication and team-building ability

• Excited to relocate to and live year-round on Martha’s Vineyard

• $85,000 – $95,000 annual salary (commensurate with experience)
