Shelter Staff Supervisor - Emergency Shelter (Haverhill, MA)

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is partnering with a well-regarded nonprofit organization in Haverhill, MA to hire a Shelter Staff Supervisor for their emergency shelter serving homeless adults. This dynamic and fast-paced shelter supports over 40 individuals each night and is looking for a compassionate, energetic leader to join their team.
Position Overview (*Please Review Qualifications)

Location: Haverhill, MA

Setting: Emergency Shelter for Adults Experiencing Homelessness
-
Schedule: Sunday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.

Assignment Length: Initial 13-week contract with strong potential for renewal

Compensation: $23-$25/hour, depending on experience
Role Responsibilities
-
Lead and support Direct Support Professionals to maintain high standards of care

Facilitate staff training and ongoing professional development
-
Ensure individualized support plans are properly implemented
-
Manage staff schedules, maintain documentation, and uphold policy compliance
-
Act as a point of contact between staff, clients, and families
-
Address issues and resolve challenges as they arise
Candidate Qualifications
-
At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred (not required)

Spanish/English bilingual skills a plus
-
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
-
Valid driver's license required
-
Must pass CORI and driving record checks

Ability to climb stairs and lift/move up to 30 lbs

COVID-19 vaccination required
