Junior Tax Analyst

The Junior Tax Analyst will support tax documentation efforts by managing the tracking, receipt, and processing of Schedule K-1 forms across multiple partnerships and investment vehicles. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate and timely tax reporting. The position pays $35 per hour and is ideal for a detail-oriented, organized professional with knowledge of investment structures and tax documentation. Ability to work from our Cambridge, MA, offices at least two days per week and/or as required by company policy is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Track and monitor incoming Schedule K-1 forms from a wide range of investment entities
• Upload K-1 documents to a secure tax preparer portal
• Maintain organized digital records of all received K-1s
• Update central tracking systems to reflect document status, due dates, and discrepancies
• Collaborate with internal teams to follow up on missing or delayed K-1s
• Handle all tax-related documents with a high level of confidentiality
• Support reconciliation and reporting processes using K-1 data, as needed

Required Experience:

• 1–3 years of experience in accounting, tax, investment administration, or document management, with at least 1–2 years of relevant experience working with K-1s
• Experience working in a professional setting involving confidential document handling

Nice-to-Have Experience:

• Experience in a family office, tax firm, or investment firm environment
• Exposure to tax-related workflows or systems in institutional investment settings
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Required Skills:

• Familiarity with Schedule K-1 forms and their tax implications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet tracking
• Strong organizational and document management skills
