Operations Manager (Norwood)
Who We Are Looking For
At Blue Hill Helicopters, we’re looking for more than just an Operations Manager - we’re looking for someone passionate about building something bigger. We are the largest and longest-standing flight school in Massachusetts and the leading helicopter tour operator specializing in private tours. As we expand further into charter and the VIP markets, this role is crucial.

Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations
- Oversee day-to-day flight operations, scheduling, staffing, and coordination
- Ensure seamless coordination between flight training, tours, charter, and maintenance
- Maintain operational structure, discipline, and accountability
Growth & Operational Development
- Support expansion initiatives and new operational projects
- Assist in implementing systems, processes, and workflow improvements
- Help scale operations and improve efficiency
Sales & Revenue Support
- Support and optimize booking processes (online and phone)
- Improve customer conversion and booking efficiency
- Collaborate on pricing, packaging, and service offerings
Leadership & Execution
- Take ownership of projects and operational initiatives
- Execute with strong follow-through and accountability
- Support a results-driven, high-performance environment
Performance Metrics (KPIs)
- Student enrollment and retention
- Sales performance and booking efficiency
- Aircraft utilization and operational efficiency
- Maintenance coordination and minimized downtime
- Customer satisfaction and online reviews
Must Have
- Passion for learning and growing within aviation
- Self-starter mindset with a high level of ownership
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Clear communication and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Experience
- Interest in building a career in the aviation industry
- Experience in aviation dispatching, operations, or business development
- Sales experience (customer-facing or phone-based)
- Hospitality or customer experience background
Schedule & Work Environment
- Monday-Friday with weekend availability as needed
- Willingness to adapt to a dynamic aviation schedule driven by weather, customer demand, and operational needs
- This is a fast-paced, hands-on role requiring flexibility, responsiveness, and ownership
Compensation
- Compensation based on experience level
