Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Secretary to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment, ensuring efficient operations and excellent patient service. This role requires using various software programs to include an EHR and MS office and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Hours are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 8:30am-5:00pm
Responsibilities
- Manage patient scheduling, including appointments and follow-ups.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Handle patient inquiries via multi-line phone systems with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette.
- Assist with the intake process for new patients.
- Provide clerical support including typing and managing correspondence within the office.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate communication regarding patient care and administrative tasks.
- Utilize Microsoft Office applications to prepare reports and manage office documentation efficiently.
- Support front desk operations by greeting patients and providing exceptional customer service.
Preferred Requisites
- Excellent computer skills with proficiency in typing (10 key typing preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and record management.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Prior experience in medical administrative support or as a medical receptionist is advantageous.
