Sous Chef – Upscale Casual Dining ($6M+ Volume)
Location: Boston, MA

Located on one of Boston's most iconic streets, our upscale casual restaurant is searching for a dedicated Sous Chef. We are known for serving award-winning, sophisticated comfort food using fresh, local ingredients. The Role
In this position, you will partner directly with the Executive Chef to drive the success of a high-volume culinary operation. You will be challenged to elevate our daily operations, ensuring every dish meets our rigorous quality standards. By recruiting, training, and mentoring a competitively superior kitchen staff, you will directly impact our top-line sales and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Executive Chef in daily back-of-house operations and menu execution.
- Educate, train, and mentor culinary staff to build a cohesive, high-performing team.
- Ensure the consistent preparation of top-quality, hand-made dishes.
- Maintain strict food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
- Drive profitability and guest counts through efficient kitchen management and superior food quality.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef in an upscale, high-volume atmosphere ($6+ million annually).
- Extensive and proven scratch kitchen experience.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to provide consistent support to the overall success of the operation.
- A genuine passion for the culinary arts and a professional, solutions-oriented mindset.
