Position Overview
Amergis Staffing is partnered with schools in the Fall River area and is seeking compassionate and dedicated Special Education Paraprofessionals to support the inclusion program . This program serves students who are neurodivergent, including students with autism, and is centered on inclusive education practices. Students may participate in a partial inclusion model, pushing into mainstream classrooms while working toward grade-level academic content with appropriate supports.
This role is ideal for individuals committed to fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments for students with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to students in small groups or on a 1:1 basis
- Assist with implementation of behavior support plans and academic activities
- Support students in inclusive and mainstream classroom settings as appropriate
- Collect and accurately document data related to student behavior and academic progress
- Collaborate with educators and school-based teams to support student goals
Qualifications & Experience
- Comfortable working with students with high needs and behavioral challenges
- Patience, flexibility, and professionalism in dynamic classroom environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Previous experience in special education, behavioral support, or paraprofessional roles preferred

Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
