Nursing Assistant
Emergency Services Assistant
Emergency Services Assistant facilitates patient flow and customer satisfaction as the front-line support staff of the Emergency Department ambulatory entrance. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Practices according to entity mandatory requirements.
- Practices according to department expectations.
- Practices with a customer service approach to all activities.
- Provides care for patients according to facility/agency, JCAHO and the law.
- Provides care as part of the interdisciplinary team.
- Documents according to facility/agency and department policies.
- Prioritizes duties according to patient and department needs.
- Meets the needs of the patient/family using internal and external resources.
- Uses appropriate physical resources/equipment in a safe manner.
- Maintains appropriate licenses, certifications, registrations required to perform duties of their designated role/position.
- Addresses age-specific needs of infants, toddlers, school age, adolescents, adults, older adults.
- Performs role in a responsible manner taking into account customer service initiatives.
- Provides care for patients according to facility, JCAHO and the law.
- Provides care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Performs specialized procedures as required by specific unit.
- Uses sterile techniques as necessary.
- Uses appropriate physical resources (equipment and supplies) in a safe manner.
- Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications:
- Ability to read, write and communication in English
- Possess a High school Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must meet at least one of the following qualifications:
- a) Completed a Nursing Assistant Program or equivalent
- b) Completed an EMT Program
- c) Completed an LPN Program
- d) Completed at least one year of Nursing School Program which includes two semesters of clinical practice
- e) Military corps person
- Possess a Current Basic Life Support Certification
- Successfully pass the Falmouth Hospital written competency exam for Nursing Assistant
- Obtain CPI Certification within 4 months from hire and must maintain recertification bi-annually.
Schedule Details: 48PP (24 Hours Per Week), Rotating Evenings, 3p-11p, Every Other Weekend & Rotating Holidays
