Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time or part-time position is available for a Teacher for the Visually Impaired, working onsite in Andover, MA. This contract role runs from January 26, 2026, through June 18, 2026, offering an opportunity to support students with visual impairments in a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and support tailored to the needs of visually impaired students.
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to create inclusive learning environments.
- Utilize appropriate teaching strategies and resources to enhance student learning.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods accordingly.
- Maintain compliance with state educational guidelines and licensing requirements.
Qualifications:
- Active Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) license as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired.
- Successful completion of the Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure (MTELs).
- Experience working in educational settings with visually impaired students preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, staff, and families.
