Tax Manager
Kforce has a client in Boston, MA that is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join a growing U.S. tax practice with a strong, long-standing presence and a diverse client base, primarily in the manufacturing sector. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex U.S. tax matters with significant autonomy while collaborating with a highly skilled team. This client offers competitive salary and benefits, 401(k), and other company perks. The position will be on a hybrid model in the Boston, MA area. The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically strong, and comfortable balancing compliance, provision work, and advisory responsibilities in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and prepare U.S. federal tax compliance for corporations, partnerships, and other pass-through entities
- Oversee state and local tax compliance filings
- Prepare and review corporate tax provisions, including ASC 740
- Evaluate and comply with U.S. tax reporting requirements related to:, Tax treaties, FATCA and withholding obligations, Foreign tax credits
- Work closely with team members while maintaining ownership of assigned engagements
- Train, mentor, and develop junior staff
- Contribute to process improvement and best practices within the tax function
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Taxation, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited institution
- CPA or EA strongly preferred
- 5-7+ years of U.S. tax experience, with a focus on corporate tax
- Strong experience in corporate tax compliance and tax provision
- Experience working with tax software such as ProSystem fx Engagement or similar platforms
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with leadership and peers
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- People-focused leadership style with a willingness to coach and develop others
- Comfortable in a hands-on role, not solely a reviewer
