• Pay Rate: $70.00 – $75.00 per hour (based on experience)

• Shift / Hours: Night Shift (3×12 Hours) — 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. (36 hours per week)

Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse – NICU provides specialized nursing care to critically ill newborns in a Level III/IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) . This role requires advanced clinical expertise, strong attention to detail, and the ability to deliver compassionate, family-centered care in a high-acuity environment. The RN will collaborate with physicians, neonatal specialists, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure optimal outcomes for premature and critically ill infants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to neonates in Level III or IV NICU settings .

• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform clinical assessments in accordance with established protocols.

• Operate and manage specialized NICU equipment, including ventilators and infusion devices.

• Document care activities accurately in EPIC electronic health record (EHR) .

• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals on treatment plans.

• Support and educate families regarding neonatal conditions, treatment, and discharge procedures.

• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and hospital policies.

Required Qualifications:

• Current Massachusetts RN license (active or conditional license accepted).

• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience in a Level III or IV unit.

• EPIC EHR experience required.

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required.

• Ability to work 36 hours per week on a 3×12-hour night shift schedule.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

• Additional neonatal or pediatric certifications (e.g., CCRN-N).

• Prior experience in teaching hospitals or high-acuity neonatal units.

Required Skills:

• Advanced neonatal nursing care and assessment.

• Proficiency with ventilator management and neonatal IV therapy.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Compassionate approach to family-centered care.

• Adaptability in fast-paced, critical-care settings.

• Sound clinical judgment under pressure.
