Job Summary:
A Speech Language Pathologist inpatient (SLP IP) position is available in Massachusetts. This role involves providing diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients with speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. The position requires the ability to independently perform oral motor assessments and treatments, with additional experience in FEES (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing) preferred but not mandatory. The successful candidate will assess, treat, and evaluate a diverse patient population while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to promote patient recovery and functional improvement.

- Required Qualifications: Masters Degree in Speech Pathology, Certificate of Clinical Competence awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, 1-2 years experience with swallowing disorders preferred, adheres to the Professional Code of Ethics of the ASHA, maintains current CPR certification, demonstrates current clinical competency, good interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with FEES is preferred but not mandatory.
- Additional Information: The role involves administering diagnostic testing procedures to evaluate patient impairments, establishing measurable treatment goals based on patient needs and input, performing treatment procedures with adaptations as necessary, reevaluating patients, and documenting patient care and progress. The incumbent will participate in quality improvement initiatives, assist in staff training, and attend educational programs to foster professional growth. Service excellence reflecting the organization's values is expected in interactions with patients, families, visitors, and healthcare team members.
