The Marketing Communications Manager will be responsible for developing, leading and executing our marketing and communications strategy through compelling storytelling, strong brand management, and effective multi-channel content delivery. This role is responsible for the development of content that will support and advance revenue goals, elevate the organization’s voice, and increase community engagement.
- Digital Marketing & Social Media. Own management of Seamen’s Bank social media platforms, including content creation and scheduling to maximize audience engagement and reach. Launch and develop email marketing campaigns to directly drive traffic to our Bank website and key revenue-generating departments. Manage, update, and optimize the Bank’s website to ensure fresh, dynamic content.
- Content Creation. Serve as the organization’s primary content creator and handles the daily execution of digital marketing, print publications, and communications. Translate complex financial products and Bank services to average consumer and shape raw material from staff, meetings and other sources into meaningful, impactful messaging. Write and collaborate on the creation of compelling and effective copy.
- Brand Management & Awareness. Maintain and enhance the Bank’s image through consistent messaging and visual branding. Secure Seamen’s Bank position as a leading institution on the Cape as well as a steadfast, committed community partner. Bring Seamen’s Bank west of the Orleans rotary without a building to anchor it. Identify and capitalize on brand moments, like events, milestones, and other notable news.
- Campaign Development & Management. Plan, execute, and analyze product and services marketing campaigns to maximize revenue and strengthen community partnerships. Target potential customers both in and outside of current geography and recommend avenues to capture market share.
- Media Outreach & Expert Positioning. Develop a multi-channel media list, on-going pitch content, and regular distribution schedule. Collaborate with internal experts to position Seamen’s Bank as an industry leader.
- Performance Tracking. Monitor, analyze, and report on the metrics and effectiveness of marketing activities to make informed decisions and optimize strategies. Monitor trends and recommend new approaches to strengthen or pivot.
- Budget Management. Manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and ROI.
- Work to remove or escalate roadblocks and ensure important initiatives are executed well and on time.
- Assist with various other communication needs, like summaries, leadership updates, talking points, and announcements.
- Build and maintain calendars and follow-up plans.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and internal teams on Seamen’s Bank swag, printed materials, signage, promotional pieces, and other marketing deliverables.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and identify new relationships to ensure the best marketing and communications results.
- Participate and make recommendations for networking events and community outreach opportunities.
- Other responsibilities or duties may be assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing and communications, business administration or relevant field from a four-year college or university; or five or more years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years in a hands-on marketing, communications, or related role. Exceptional creativity and outstanding writing and storytelling skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while staying organized and detail oriented.
- Proactive, resourceful, and focused on solutions.
- Experience working with vendors, printers, promotional partners, or outside agencies.
- Thorough knowledge of marketing best practices.
- Microsoft Office and digital software mastery.

Salary range: $65,000 - $87,000 annually
