Duration: 2025-2026 School Year

Schedule: Monday-Friday (varies by school)

Hours Per Week: 32.5-35

About the Role

Amergis Educational Staffing is proud to partner with schools across Bristol County to support students with diverse learning needs. We're hiring Aspiring Special Education Teachers who are passionate about helping students thrive - academically, socially, and emotionally.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct support to students in 1:1, small group and whole classroom settings

• Assist with behavior support plans and academic activities

• Track and document student progress and behavior data

• Collaborate with teachers and support staff to create a positive learning environment

• Step in flexibly to support other classrooms when needed

• Write IEP goals

• Lead and support paraprofessionals

What We're Looking For

• Experience working with students with behavioral, emotional, or special education needs

• Strong de-escalation and behavior management skills

• Familiarity with data collection and behavior tracking tools

• Comfortability writing IEP goals

• Calm, patient, and adaptable in dynamic school settings

• Team-oriented with a growth mindset

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required

• High School Diploma or equivalent (minimum)

• CPR certification (if applicable)

• TB test or chest x-ray (if applicable)

• Health certificate (per contract/state regulation)

• Must be at least 18 years old and meet all federal, state, and local requirements

Compensation & Perks

• Up to $35/hr based on experience
