Control Room Operator
- Operate and monitor plant systems via DCS computers, making real-time adjustments as needed.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and make decisions on non-routine or escalated problems.
- Assist in developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and contribute to plant performance improvements.
- Manage chemical analyses and control of steam, cooling, and condensate systems; maintain related logs.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and site procedures.
- Perform duties like maintaining plant security and operating heavy equipment (e.g., manlifts, forklifts); handle bulk chemicals safely.
- Strong troubleshooting, control systems, and operational decision-making capability.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and control system interfaces like DCS.
- Mechanical aptitude plus working knowledge of chemistry, physics, electricity, and mathematics .
- Massachusetts 2nd Class Engineer license required (this reflects a regulatory requirement for the position).
- Experience with industrial plant operations, control systems, and preventative chemistry/boiler systems preferred.
