As an Innovation Concepts Creator at Vibram’s Boston Connection Lab, you’ll have the chance to sharpen your design and concepting skills while contributing to the advancement of Vibram’s innovation platforms for some of the most iconic footwear brands in the world.

Reporting to the Innovation Creative Lead, this entry-level, hands-on role is perfect for someone who thrives on making, experimenting, and rapid prototyping. You’ll flex your skills in multidisciplinary design and methods of make focusing on digital product design, and 3D modeling. You'll collaborate with a passionate, cross-functional team of Market Leads, Designers, Developers, Innovators, and Performance Experts in a dynamic creative space that also serves as a hub for industry and consumer events.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Create innovative performance solutions in collaboration with the dedicated innovation team.
• Develop detailed footwear designs and technical packages to support emerging innovation platforms.
• Build and deliver compelling design project briefs for both internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Research and analyze diverse consumer needs, market trends, and distribution channels.
• Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams across disciplines.
• Contribute to additional projects and responsibilities as needed.

• Minimum of 1-3 yrs experience in Footwear/Industrial Design (including intern experience).
• Degree in Industrial/Product Design preferred.
• Strong conceptual thinking with the ability to clearly communicate design ideas.
• Advanced skills in sketching, rendering, and presentation.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite and 3D modeling and rendering tools (e.g., Rhino, Grasshopper, Gravity Sketch, KeyShot).
• Hands-on making experience with digital design lab tools such as 3D printers, scanners, and laser cutters.
• Curiosity and drive to explore, test, and adopt emerging technologies and design tools.
• Passion for outdoor activities and/or sports preferred.
