Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

Location: Lawrence, MA (Mary Immaculate Health/Care Services)
Pay Rate: $51.00 – $58.50 per hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to support residents in achieving maximum functional independence. This role works under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality therapeutic care in a collaborative healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments as per established care plans
• Assist residents in improving mobility, strength, and functional abilities
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the supervising therapist
• Modify treatment activities in consultation with the therapist as needed
• Educate residents and caregivers on exercises and assistive device usage
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all treatments
• Recommend and assist with appropriate assistive devices
• Participate in care team meetings and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of therapy areas and equipment
• Follow infection control policies and regulatory compliance standards

Requirements

• Associate degree required
• Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) License
• BLS Certification required
• Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient care skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs (with assistance if required)
