The Opportunity:
You will be joining a highly collaborative a gile development tea m responsible for building, extending, monitoring, and maintaining our flagship IMOS Platform for maritime commerce management. A great chance to work with engineers at all experience levels with diverse backgrounds, while providing opportunities to exercise your talents by participating in all facets of software development.
A Closer Look at the Role:
This role will provide opportunities to get your hands on various tasks/technologies such as:
- Design, develop, and support scalable SaaS applications
- Gain knowledge of the complex business requirements and needs of the maritime shipping industry
- Work with Product Management to gather/translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Write high quality, testable code to design, develop and support our existing backend services and front-end code
- Contribute to architectural discussions and technical design decisions
- Collaborate with team members through code reviews and pair programming
Skills/Experience Needed to Be Successful in This Role:
- 3-5 years of experience as a software engineer
- 1+ years of experience with C++
- Experience in developing backend services using object-oriented design
- Experience with SQL Server or other relational database systems
- Familiarity with architecture design principles and technical documentation
- Ability to work in agile development framework and communicate effectively with team members
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice S kills to H ave ( N ot R equired):
- Experience with accounting principles, financial industry, or maritime shipping industry
- Knowledge of automated testing frameworks
