About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with GSK SOLUTIONS INC to find a qualified Postpartum RN in Cambridge, Massachusetts, 02163!

Seeking a dedicated Postpartum Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have experience caring for postpartum patients, including both vaginal and cesarean deliveries, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced maternal-child health environment.

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to postpartum patients and newborns
• Monitor and assess mothers following vaginal and C-section deliveries
• Administer medications including IV antibiotics, magnesium, PRBCs, Rhogam, and Lovenox
• Support breastfeeding and provide patient education on postpartum and newborn care
• Monitor for complications such as postpartum hemorrhage and magnesium therapy needs
• Operate specialized equipment including IV pumps, fetal monitoring tools, and breast pumps
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care using EMR systems (EPIC preferred)

Requirements

• Minimum 1+ year of Postpartum nursing experience (acute care required)
• Current AHA BLS & NRP certifications required
• Active Massachusetts RN license (verified via NURSYS within last 7 days)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior travel nursing experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Lactation certification
• Experience with EPIC EMR
