Product Manager
Sungage Financial has revolutionized the residential solar industry by offering a consumer-friendly approach to going solar. We need your help to create an even better experience for our customers and get more people going solar than ever before. We're looking for a Product Manager who gets excited about turning user feedback into features people actually love. You'll be the bridge between what users need and what our engineering team builds, all while keeping everyone aligned on where we're headed.
Responsibilities:
Discovery & Strategy- Uncover new feature opportunities by talking to users, analyzing competitor moves, and diving into user data
- Turn messy problems into clear requirements by really understanding what users are trying to accomplish
- Build and maintain a product roadmap that balances user needs, business goals, and technical reality
- Partner with sales, marketing, support, and leadership to prioritize what matters most
- Work hand-in-hand with engineering to scope projects, manage sprints, and keep things moving
- Collaborate with marketing to launch features in ways that resonate with our audience
- Break down complex features into clear, actionable tickets for the development team
- Use analytical frameworks to prioritize the highest-impact improvements while working within time and budget constraints
- Track key metrics to understand what's working and what isn't
- Estimate timelines and communicate progress transparently across the organization
- Keep tabs on the competitive landscape and share insights that help us stay ahead
- Be the voice of the user in every product decision
- Use structured problem-solving to identify process bottlenecks and work with the team to eliminate them efficiently
- Drive continuous improvement in how we build and ship products while maximizing impact per resource invested
Requirements:
Experience- 3+ years in product management, ideally with web-based products that you've seen through multiple release cycles
- Background in software development environments and agile methodologies preferred
- Experience in finance or residential solar is a nice-to-have but not required
- Strong communication skills – you can explain complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Skilled at building consensus across teams and stakeholders with different priorities and perspectives
- Methodical approach to breaking down complex challenges and finding solutions that deliver maximum value with minimal waste
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to structure unclear problems into actionable plans
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Team-first attitude with a bias toward action and continuous improvement
- You thrive in fast-paced environments where priorities can shift quickly
- High degree of autonomy doesn't intimidate you – it energizes you
- You're comfortable making decisions with incomplete information and iterating based on feedback
- You value diverse perspectives and actively contribute to building an inclusive culture where everyone can do their best work
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strength in collaboration, sound judgment, accountability, and adaptability. You should be skilled in product design thinking, market research, analytical problem-solving, and strategic prioritization.
