Controller

Join our client's dedicated Business Office team as the Controller, a pivotal leadership role responsible for the financial integrity and operational excellence of the organization. As a strategic partner to the Director of Finance and Operations, you will manage all accounting functions, staff development, internal controls, and audits. This position is essential for overseeing accurate financial reporting, managing payroll and financial aid programs, and championing best practices for all accounting functions in a collaborative and service-oriented environment.

salary: $130,000 - $140,000 per year

work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include setting policy, ensuring compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/FASB), and managing all internal and external audits. The role is a strategic partner to executive leadership, driving financial strategy, leading the finance staff, and overseeing the modernization of financial technology and strategic financial reporting to the Board and key stakeholders. This individual should have non profit or education industry experience with a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance.
