Senior Financial Accountant
Kforce's client, a well-proven publicly-held company with a 30 year history of growth, has a need for a Senior Financial Accountant. This company offers strong growth potential and a chance to work in a highly collaborative environment. Summary: Our client is in search of a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Financial Accountant to join our Portfolio Reporting team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the financial reporting and general ledger functions for a multitude of entities. You will collaborate closely with internal departments and external auditors to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. This is a high-impact role with built in growth potential. Responsibilities:
- Prepare, analyze, and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual GAAP-based financial reports and supporting workpapers
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts; prepare and review journal entries
- Support the preparation of SEC filings and related public disclosures
- Coordinate with external auditors during quarterly and annual procedures
- Monitor and ensure compliance with debt covenants and other financial reporting requirements
- Maintain and update cash forecasts; monitor liquidity and funding needs
- Calculate and facilitate the payment of business management fees
- Collaborate with Portfolio Management, Asset Management, and Corporate Accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Review and code corporate payables for assigned entities
- Lead or participate in special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by senior management
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with multi entities, or public accounting
- Proficiency with property management/accounting software
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with SEC reporting tools (e.g., Workiva) is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
