We are a premier, high-volume seafood and cocktail bar in Boston, renowned for our exceptional raw bar, premium tinned seafood, and innovative culinary techniques. We are currently seeking a seasoned Sous Chef to join our back-of-house leadership team.
As the Executive Chef’s right-hand person, you will play a critical role in executing our seasonally inspired menu with 100% precision. This position is designed for a culinary professional who excels in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about transforming the freshest ingredients into extraordinary guest experiences.
What You Will Do
- Lead and Mentor: Direct the culinary brigade, manage daily kitchen operations, and spearhead the training and development of new team members.
- Drive Profitability: Assist the Executive Chef in building top-line sales and managing food costs to achieve targeted financial results.
- Ensure Excellence: Maintain the highest standards of food safety, quality control, and operational consistency.
- Solve Problems: Act as the on-the-floor decision-maker, providing immediate, effective solutions during high-pressure services.
Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of culinary management experience within a high-volume, upscale, or fine-dining restaurant.
- Leadership: A proven track record of developing staff and fostering a positive, collaborative kitchen culture.
- Financial Acumen: Proficiency in managing kitchen financials, inventory, and labor costs.
- Character: Unwavering honesty, integrity, and genuine passion for hospitality and customer satisfaction.
