Optometric Medical Receptionist
WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY FOR AN OPTOMETRIC MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST
The Receptionist is a vital part of the healthcare team. Not only are they the first person the patients interact with, they have many responsibilities to ensure the quality and safety of patient care.
About us: We are a small but rapidly growing family-owned and oriented private practice. We have been providing quality eye care for nearly 15 years. We have 2 locations in Woburn and Billerica and are well-established in both communities. We value top-quality care using a variety of new technologies and methods. We are looking to add another member to our team!

- Vibrant, energetic, outgoing, and personable with a professional presentation, pleasant and clear voice

- Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum experience of 1 year in a medical office is greatly preferred. Experience in Optometry is also preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Attend to telephone calls, respond to or redirect the calls as needed
- Convert incoming calls into scheduled appointments and maintain the office schedule
- Create and maintain the electronic patient records using the medical records system
- Create, file, and maintain patient records in paper charts
- Obtain accurate insurance information, verification, and pre-authorization
- Check patients in/out and processing payments, daily opening/closing procedures, keeping the front office area visually appealing
- Help maintain a smooth workflow for the office by providing support to other team members
- Advise patients of their financial responsibilities and obtain credit agreements for outstanding balances, safely manage payments
- Educate patients on our services, procedures, and treatments. Create relationships with patients to develop trust and answer general questions.
- Provide superior customer service and offer an optimal experience to patients and other visitors to the office
- Ensure patient confidentiality and proper adherence to company protocols and procedures of standard care.
- Other duties or side projects as assigned by the Practice Manager or Doctor as needed
**Candidate will primarily be working in Woburn but must be able to commute to Billerica if fill-in work is needed.
Full-time position 34 hours/week. Saturday, and Sunday are currently off though this may change in the future.
Salary: $17-19/hour
