Male and Female Speakers

Japanese (Tokyo accent)-- You must be a native speaker.

This is a job for good speakers who can make easy conversation. The recordings will be used to train and enhance AI performance at different companies around the world.

JOB Details:

• If your audition is selected, you'll do a single recording session, working along with another auditioning talent as two people having a conversation (we will connect you via Zoom or Teams). You can record from your computer in a quiet room as if doing a job interview or having coffee together. The rate per 2.5 hr session is $200 per speaker.
• Please take care to record in a quiet environment so that your voice is clear.
• If your energy is good, the job may repeat and pay at the same rate for additional sessions. No special skills are required, just send the raw file and we'll edit it.

AUDITION Details

• Auditions are unpaid. Pretend you are having a conversation with a friend in a coffee shop. The energy should be alive and upbeat. Some variation in emotion/style (happy, sad, frustration) is a huge plus. There is no set script -- just choose a few subjects, have fun with it and show your dynamic range. Be creative but be real -- DON'T do character voices.
• Technique: Keep your mouth at least six inches from the mic, even if you're recording on a phone. Test to see if there is distortion before sending.
• We are not looking for a monologue. Instead, ask questions, offer answers, and appropriate pauses from your side of the conversation just like you're talking to a friend. Include short pauses for when another person would answer or ask you a question. You can record right on to your laptop or phone.
• If you want to audition with a partner, you can submit two voices on a single file but make sure your voices do not overlap and leave space between questions and answers. With two speakers, be sure that both talent names are included on the file name. At the beginning of the recording identify yourselves by saying "Hello, I'm YOUR NAME..."
• You can talk about any topic that friends would discuss: food, travel, TV shows, gossip, etc.. Laughter and filler words (um, like, ya know, uh huh) are fine.
• The audio file must be at 3-4 minutes long to demonstrate your continuous conversational energy .

The subject line of your email should also say "Speaker Audition - your name" or "Speaker Audition - talent 1 name, talent 2 name"

Remember: We need engaging, confident, interesting, friendly voices.

• Finally, we are an established company, always looking for good international speakers and there are no charges or fees to pay -- ever. We supply a variety of well-paid voices for AI companies around the world. For this job, your recordings will only be used for training purposes and not placed on any public media.
