Job Title: Superintendent, Asphalt/Paving

Salary: $120,000 / Annually, Plus Bonus

Location: Falmouth, MA (02540)

Our client is a well-established heavy civil construction firm with a strong reputation throughout Massachusetts who specialize in site development, paving, utility work, and infrastructure projects for both public and private clients. They are seeking an experienced Asphalt / Paving Superintendent to lead asphalt and concrete operations from start to finish. This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing crews, driving productivity, maintaining safety and quality standards, and coordinating closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, and field leadership. The candidate will play a critical role in delivering high-quality projects that protect and enhance the company reputation.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage asphalt paving and concrete crews on multiple projects
• Oversee daily field operations, production goals, and jobsite logistics
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards
• Coordinate with Project Managers, inspectors, vendors, and subcontractors
• Read and interpret plans, specifications, and schedules
• Monitor materials, equipment usage, and crew performance
• Troubleshoot challenges in the field and keep projects moving forward
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment

Qualifications

• High School diploma with 10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Strong background in asphalt paving operations and crew leadership
• Ability to read blueprints and project plans
• Experience with GPS survey equipment or willingness to learn
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain)
