Job Title: Surgical Technologist – General OR

Location: Hyannis, MA 02601

Duration: 13 Weeks

Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, 40 hours per week

Pay Rate: $45 – $50 per hour

Position Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking Surgical Technologist – General OR for an exciting job in Hyannis, MA.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, sterile drapes, and solutions.

• Maintain strict aseptic techniques and adhere to hospital policies and AORN standards.

• Perform scrub technician functions across all specialties and surgical services.

• Pass instruments and sterile supplies to the surgical team; assist with retractors, sutures, and sponge/instrument counts.

• Handle and label surgical specimens appropriately for laboratory analysis.

• Assist in applying surgical dressings and ensure availability of required instruments and equipment.

• Support patient transport, positioning, and transfer to recovery areas.

• Operate and maintain sterilizers, lighting, suction, and diagnostic equipment as needed.

• Safely prepare and label medications under the direction of the surgeon and RN.

• Participate in room turnover, restocking, and equipment maintenance.

• Contribute to orientation and training of new OR staff.

• Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited civilian or military Surgical Technologist program.

• National Certification (NBSTSA) required within 12 months of graduation; must maintain certification.

• Certification must be accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies and recognized by both the American College of Surgeons and the Association of Surgical Technologists.

• Current BLS Certification required.

• Strong orthopedic surgery experience preferred .

• Excellent communication skills and attention to patient safety.
