MRI Technologist

**Job Summary:**Shields Health Care Group’s MRI Technologists support the integrity of the organization with their commitment to excellence. The MRI technologist will provide a professional, caring atmosphere to all customer groups, while maintaining a fast-paced, multi-tasked oriented clinical environment. These policies, procedures and protocols can be issued by Shields or the partnering hospital group for the location you are assigned to.* Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.* Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.* Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.* Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.* Perform scan in accordance to center’s protocol.* Administer intravenous contrast.* Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam.* Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.* Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.* Forward data and or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.* Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.* Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.* Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on the credentialing policy.* Contrast administration**What you need:*** This opportunity requires prior MRI scanning experience.* Necessary requirements include MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications, and fantastic interpersonal skills. ARMRIT certification accepted at some locations.* Sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time* Assist patients with mobility difficulties* Some inpatient locations may require employee’s to participate in a call schedule/rotation* To push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds* Above physical requirements can be met with or without accommodation**Additional Job Description:**Pay range for this position is $40-$60/hr + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.It is not intended that this Job Description include all details of the work functions of this position.
