Travel Nurse Job Details
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2300-$2360
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (December 1, 2025 – February 28, 2026)
- Healthcare Setting: Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Pharmacy Unit
- Shift: 12-hour evening shifts
- Hours: 36 hours per week (guaranteed 72 hours biweekly, not including on-call)
- On-Call: One 24-hour weekend shift per month and three night calls per month (11pm–7am); 30-minute response time required
- Weekends & Holidays: Required
- Start Date: December 1, 2025
- Orientation: Biweekly (11/17, 12/01, 12/08)
- Location Requirement: Travelers must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
PACU Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active Massachusetts RN license (required at time of submission)
- Minimum 2 years of recent PACU nursing experience
- Proficient in caring for patients on drips and ventilators
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or ENPC equivalency) certifications from AHA
- Ability to pass ECG/Tele and Medication tests during onboarding (one attempt only, 85% passing score)
- Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
- No holiday time off; limited RTO (requests must be submitted at application)
- Must not have worked for Beth Israel Lahey Health in any capacity within the last 6 months
PACU Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality post-anesthesia care to patients in the PACU
- Monitor and manage patients recovering from anesthesia, including those requiring drips and ventilator support
- Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and provide appropriate clinical interventions
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in scheduled on-call rotations
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation
- Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
