Java Web Engineer Consultant
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Java Web Engineer Consultant. The candidate must work onsite 3 days a week in Holyoke, MA. Summary: We are seeking an experienced Java Web Engineer Consultant with strong technical expertise in AWS. The Consultant will play a key role in a high-priority upgrade and conversion project, contributing immediately upon boarding. You will work closely with the IT Development team and business stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and delivery. Primary Responsibilities:
- Enhance existing applications using Java 17/21 and Spring Boot
- Interact with Oracle databases using SQL and PL/SQL
- Develop new front-end pages with HTLM, CSS, Bootstrap and AJAX
- Enhance existing front ends using Thymleaf, HTML, CSS and AJAX
- Write thorough, correct unit tests using Junit and Mockito
- Deploy code using Jenkins
- Interact with end users to determine requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience working with Oracle databases
- Experience building front ends using HTLM, CSS, Bootstrap and AJAX
- Experience writing Unit tests with Junit and Mockito
- Strong proficiency in Java 17/21
- Strong proficiency in Spring MVC
- Excellent Communication skills
- Highly adaptable and resilient under pressure
- Independent worker; Able to clear their own blocks
- Experience with PL/SQL skills nice to have
