Job Title: Intermediate Technical Trainer / Instructional Designer

Location: Everett, MA 02149 (Hybrid – Onsite & Remote)

Duration: 10 Months (Tentative)

Type: Contract

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive training programs tailored for diverse user groups including families, childcare providers, support agencies, and staff.

• Translate technical terminology into plain language for non-technical and multilingual audiences.

• Create modular, accessible, and engaging instructional materials, including manuals, user guides, job aids, and self-paced e-learning modules.

• Facilitate live training sessions via in-person and online platforms (Zoom, GoToMeeting, Teams, etc.).

• Collaborate with stakeholders to assess training needs and evaluate effectiveness.

• Apply adult learning principles and instructional design best practices to all training solutions.

• Provide frontline support and triage technical issues through ServiceNow; escalate as needed.

• Maintain training materials using Microsoft 365 and content management systems (CMS).

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in technical training, instructional design, or adult education.

• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively to non-technical users.

• Experience developing a wide range of instructional content and learning aids.

• Strong understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies.

• Skilled in delivering both live and virtual training sessions.

• Sensitivity to diverse populations and multilingual learners.

• Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing/support systems.

• Familiarity with financial workflows or public benefits systems.

• Ability to integrate fiscal content into training for non-financial users.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in public sector environments, especially in early childhood, education, or human services.

• Proficiency with e-learning development tools such as Articulate or similar.

• Familiarity with CMS platforms for organizing and distributing training content.

• Experience using Jira to manage tasks, sprints, and software releases.

• Background in leading cross-functional teams in Agile settings, with the ability to facilitate ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
