Project Accountant
Job Title: Project AccountantJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated Project Accountant to join our accounting and finance team. This role is ideal for a financial professional eager to engage in the construction project life cycle within a collaborative environment, serving as a crucial link between project management and finance.
Responsibilities

Collaborate with project teams on the financial workflow of projects, from setup and template preparation to cost code entry and budget management.

Oversee the project billing process, ensuring the inclusion of supporting documents and compliance items.

Assist project teams in producing timely and accurate reporting requirements.

Record and review project revenue and costs, acting as the point person for these tasks.

Investigate project variances and submit variance reports to management.

Prepare monthly cost to complete reports and communicate profitability to management.

Code and route commitments and vendor invoices for project management approval.

Process subcontractor contracts electronically and track required documents.

Create monthly status reports, conduct budget analysis, and manage monthly closings.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience

Detail-oriented with a strong understanding of accounting practices

Knowledge of the construction industry is a plus
Work Environment
This is an on-site position located in the Berkshires of Massachusetts. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with occasional travel to work-sites as needed.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Lenox, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $90000.00/yr.
Company benefits will be sent to candidate with offer letter.
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Lenox,MA.
