NOW HIRING: SENIOR CONTROLS ENGINEER

Salary Range: $90,000-$125,000 per year, with opportunities to earn additional income through project-based bonuses and performance commissions.

We are actively seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to support and enhance controls and automation systems across manufacturing facilities in the Greater Boston and Southern New Hampshire region . You’ll be an essential part of keeping production running safely, smoothly, and smarter — with the autonomy and backing to make real change.

Your Impact:

• Design and implement PLC, HMI, SCADA, and motion control systems (Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Wonderware)

• Provide 24/7 emergency support on a rotating schedule — including remote diagnostics using platforms like eWON, TeamViewer, and FactoryTalk

• Travel to regional manufacturing sites to support system commissioning, troubleshooting, and upgrades

• Own and manage project life cycles from concept to startup — including electrical design, programming, testing, and validation

• Develop and maintain control panel schematics and electrical drawings using AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN

• Partner with cross-functional teams (Production, Maintenance, Quality) to improve process reliability and efficiency

• Ensure all work complies with food safety (GMP, HACCP) and electrical safety (NFPA 70E, OSHA) standards

• Train and mentor junior engineers and support staff in automation best practices

What You Bring:

• Certification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field

• 8+ years of experience in automation and controls — preferably in food, beverage, or general manufacturing environments

• Deep experience with PLC/HMI programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens), SCADA systems, and industrial networks (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, Profinet)

• Skilled in remote troubleshooting and diagnostics for urgent support needs

• Comfortable with on-call, after-hours responsibilities , and quick decision-making under pressure

• Strong knowledge of control system design, instrumentation, and safety protocols

• Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
