Travel Sales Specialist

As a Travel Sales Specialist in the ever-rewarding travel industry, you will play a crucial role in helping travelers plan and book their trips. In this role, you are responsible for providing excellent customer service, knowledge about destinations and travel options, and facilitating the booking process. As a Travel Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting customers in planning, organizing, and booking their travel experiences. You will use your expertise in travel destinations, accommodations, transportation, and other related services to help customers make informed decisions and create memorable travel experiences. - Customer Assistance :
- Provide exceptional customer service by understanding and addressing customers' travel needs, preferences, and budgets.
- Destination Knowledge:
- Stay up to date with travel trends and destination information, including cultural, historical, and recreational activities, to make personalized recommendations to customers.
- Product Knowledge:
- Be well-informed about travel packages, flight options, accommodation choices, travel insurance, and other related services offered by the company.
- Itinerary Planning:
- Create customized travel itineraries that cater to the unique preferences and interests of individual customers or groups.
- Create, change, and cancel pre-travel reservations.
- Booking Coordination:
- Manage the booking process, including flights, accommodations, and activities. Ensure all reservations are accurate and meet customers' requirements.
- Budget Management:
- Help customers find travel options that align with their budgets and provide cost-effective recommendations.
- Sales and Upselling:
- Promote and upsell various travel services and products, such as travel insurance, guided tours, and excursions.
- Problem Resolution:
- Address any issues or concerns that may arise and provide solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Customer Follow-Up:
- Maintain communication with customers to gather feedback and build lasting relationships.
Client Relationship Management :
- Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders. Act as the primary point of contact for strategic accounts.
- Proactively engage with existing clients to understand their needs, preferences, and challenges.
- Market Research:
- Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging market opportunities. Use this knowledge to inform strategic decisions and capitalize on market gaps.
- Leverage market insights to tailor our offerings to client needs and preferences.
- Sales Performance Metrics :
- Set and exceed ambitious sales targets, consistently delivering a top-tier performance that contributes to the company's growth and success.
- Computer Skills :
- Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint, PLEX, Executer, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Will work in the Plex software program to manage client bookings.

Qualifications:
- Education: A degree in tourism, hospitality, or a related field is a plus.
- Travel Expertise: Strong knowledge of travel destinations, airlines, hotels, and travel products is essential.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as active listening abilities.
- Customer Service Skills: A customer-centric approach with a focus on meeting customer needs and ensuring satisfaction.
- Sales Skills: Proven sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Computer Proficiency: Familiarity with travel booking systems and software is an advantage.
- Problem-solving: Ability to handle unexpected challenges and resolve issues effectively.
- Adaptability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate customer schedules.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure all travel arrangements are accurate and well-organized.
- Call Center: Must be able to work in an exciting, fast-paced, structured call center environment.
- Hours: Must be motivated, team-oriented, and able to work flexible hours
- Sales Goals: Convert an average of 10% of calls to paid bookings per pay period (may vary by pay period).
- Call Goals: Accept and handle an average of 2.0 calls per hour each pay period.
Terms of Employment:
- Hours: Full–Time Employment. 40+ hours per week
- Pay rate: $ hourly, Depending on Experience + Bonus incentive.
- Office: Work is virtual
