Commercial Kitchen Hood Cleaning Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Commercial Kitchen Hood Cleaning Technician to join our team. You will travel to various commercial kitchens to perform cleaning services on hoods, ducts, and exhaust fans. The role includes using specialized equipment to remove grease and buildup, ensuring compliance with NFPA 96 standards, and maintaining a high level of professionalism in all interactions.

Responsibilities

• Travel to commercial kitchens from the Wakefield, MA office to perform hood, duct, and exhaust fan cleaning services.
• Use specialized equipment to remove grease and buildup from kitchen ventilation systems.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA 96 standards and safety protocols.
• Document work performed with before-and-after photos and service reports.
• Communicate professionally with clients and team members.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in clean and working order.
• Work flexible hours, including evenings and occasional weekends, based on client needs.

• Experience with HVAC systems and general labor tasks.
• Mechanical skills and troubleshooting abilities.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and providing service.
• Dependability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license.

• Ability to perform tasks that require general labor.

This position offers the opportunity to increase your hourly wage by $10 within the first 8 months through obtaining two different certifications. We value professional growth and provide training to become a certified commercial kitchen hood installer.

Work Environment

You will be working throughout the city of Boston, servicing commercial restaurants. The role involves training under a foreman, providing a supportive environment to develop your skills. Flexible hours include evenings and occasional weekends to accommodate client needs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wakefield, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $31.00/hr.
