Travel RN Job Details

• Job Title: Pediatric Ambulatory Care Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel
• Location: Boston, MA 02115 (Longwood Medical Area)
• Healthcare Setting: Pediatric Neuroscience Ambulatory Clinic
• Employment Type: Travel Nursing Assignment
• Shifts: Day shifts, 4x10-hour (08:00 – 18:00)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 10/12/2025 – End: 1/11/2026)
• Weekend Requirement: None
• On-Call: None
• Charting System: Cerner (transitioning to EPIC; EPIC experience preferred)
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2000-$2050

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license – permanent license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ambulatory care nursing experience
• Prior travel RN experience in pediatric or neuroscience settings required
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Preferred experience with pediatric neurology, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, movement disorders, neuromuscular conditions, autism, and chronic/complex pediatric cases
• EPIC electronic health record experience preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Two professional references from two of the last three employers (must be different healthcare facilities)

Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Triage and manage patient communication via telehealth and patient portal systems
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and modify care plans for pediatric patients across the healthcare continuum
• Communicate clinical management changes to patients and families
• Coordinate ongoing care between clinic visits by collaborating with families, healthcare team members, and external agencies
• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to children with neurological and complex medical needs
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams in a Magnet-designated, Level I Trauma Center, and Level III/IV NICU facility
