Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team on a long-term contract basis. Based in Amesbury, Massachusetts, this position involves managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities: - Record and maintain accurate financial transactions, ensuring all entries are up-to-date and error-free. - Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections. - Conduct regular bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial records. - Utilize QuickBooks to generate reports, track expenses, and monitor financial data. - Prepare and analyze financial statements to assist with budgeting and forecasting. - Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and company policies. - Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support. - Monitor cash flow and address discrepancies promptly. - Respond to inquiries regarding financial records and transactions. - Maintain organized and secure financial documentation for auditing purposes. Requirements - Proven experience in bookkeeping with a strong understanding of accounting principles. - Proficiency in QuickBooks and other financial management software. - Demonstrated ability to manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. - Skilled in conducting bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies. - Strong analytical and organizational skills for preparing financial reports. - Attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial records. - Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders. - Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
