Position Title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery
Location: Hyannis, MA 02601
Job Type: Travel Contract
Travel Pay Rate: $70.00 – $80.00 per hour
Weekly Hours: 42.5 hours/week
Schedule: Day Shift | 07:00 AM – 03:30 PM (8.5 hours/day, Monday–Friday)
Includes every other weekend and holiday rotation
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and compassionate Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Labor & Delivery to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic clinical environment. The RN will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while ensuring compliance with professional standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver patient-centered care using the nursing process, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including physical, psychological, and social dimensions.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans; communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Monitor patient responses to medications and treatments, adjusting care as needed.
- Serve as charge nurse when required and provide leadership to support staff.
- Utilize computerized nursing informatics systems efficiently.
- Support staff education, onboarding, and ongoing training initiatives.
- Evaluate the quality and appropriateness of care delivered.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including infection control and blood/body fluid precautions.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times.
- Participate in continuous learning and professional development activities.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
Licensure & Certifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Completion of Fetal Monitoring Course (Intermediate or Advanced) within the last 2 years
- Successful completion of pharmacology exam
- CPI certification (preferred)
- Minimum of recent OB/Labor & Delivery experience within the past 2 years
- Strong clinical assessment, planning, and evaluation skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Ability to lead, mentor, and educate team members
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and nursing systems
