Clinical Supervisor – Pathway House

Supporting Structured, Accountability-Driven, Dignity-Centered Care at Pathway House

At GAAMHA, we’re here to make sure people can get help when they ask for it—no matter who they are. Pathway House is known for its highly structured, accountability-focused environment, where clear expectations, consistency, and personal responsibility create the foundation for meaningful, lasting change.

The Clinical Supervisor plays a key leadership role in upholding this structure while ensuring services remain compassionate, evidence-based, and grounded in GAAMHA’s values of Respect, Humility, Integrity, Empathy, and Persistence.

Position Overview

The Clinical Supervisor supports the Pathway House clinical team through hands-on supervision, coaching, and quality assurance. This role ensures that program services are delivered with consistency, clarity, and fidelity to evidence-based practices, regulatory standards, and Pathway House expectations.

The Clinical Supervisor helps staff balance firm structure with person-centered care, reinforcing personal accountability for both residents and clinicians while supporting outcomes that are measurable, ethical, and meaningful.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group clinical supervision to clinical staff and interns, including required documentation for licensure or certification.

  • Reinforce Pathway House’s structured treatment model by supporting staff in setting clear expectations, boundaries, and accountability with residents.

  • Stand alongside staff during crises and clinically complex situations, offering calm guidance, decisive leadership, and support.

  • Participate in case conferences and required GAAMHA and Pathway House meetings.

Program Development & Quality Assurance

  • Support the development and ongoing refinement of program curricula rooted in evidence-based practices and aligned with Pathway House values of structure, responsibility, and growth.

  • Ensure program services meet all state and federal regulations, funder requirements, and licensure standards while remaining grounded in dignity and person-centered care.

  • Conduct regular clinical file reviews to ensure documentation accuracy, consistency, and quality, and provide clear feedback for improvement.

  • Identify staff training needs and support delivery of skill-based services that strengthen clinical effectiveness and accountability.

Collaboration & Community Integration

  • Support staff in building strong, respectful relationships with community partners, referral sources, and outside provider agencies.

  • Collaborate with program leadership to design, refine, and implement policies and procedures that reinforce structure, clarity, and consistency.

  • Represent Pathway House and GAAMHA in provider meetings and community collaborations as needed.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in recruitment and interviewing of clinical staff.

  • Facilitate groups and provide direct clinical services when needed to support program operations.

  • Support cross-training efforts and attend required trainings and professional development opportunities.

  • As part of a collaborative team, pitch in where needed to support residents, staff, and overall program success.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director.

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who brings strong clinical skill, confidence in structured treatment environments, and a belief that accountability is essential to dignity-centered care.

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a closely related field.

  • Valid certification or licensure in Substance Use Disorders or Mental Health (CADC, LADC-I, LCSW, LICSW, LMHC) strongly preferred.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience providing substance use counseling.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of clinical supervisory experience in a substance use treatment setting. (Preference given to applicants who also hold active CCS credential)

  • Working knowledge of 12-Step programs and structured recovery models.

  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated cultural competence and ability to uphold HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 confidentiality requirements.

  • Experience with recovery homes and/or BSAS-funded programs preferred.

Candidates with at least two (2) years of lived experience in recovery are welcome and encouraged to apply. Employees who self-identify as being in recovery are expected to maintain their sobriety while employed, modeling stability and supporting program integrity.

Why GAAMHA?

At GAAMHA, you won’t just be supervising clinicians—you’ll be helping build a program where structure, accountability, and compassion work together to create real change. You’ll join a team that values shared responsibility, leads with empathy, and holds itself to a high standard because our communities deserve nothing less.

We don’t believe in flashy solutions. We believe in what works.

Work schedule varies as needed.

GAAMHA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization. We are proud to be a W/NPO (Woman Non-Profit Organization) certified agency.
