We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing data platforms that support analytics, marketing, and business intelligence initiatives across the organization. This role will play a critical part in modernizing legacy data workflows, enabling cloud-native architectures, and partnering closely with analytics, marketing, and business stakeholders to deliver trusted, actionable data.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake, Azure, dbt, and Apache Airflow

  • Lead migration and modernization of legacy ETL workflows (Informatica, Oracle, SQL Server) into cloud-native architectures

  • Build and optimize ELT/ETL processes for structured and semi-structured data from multiple internal and external sources

  • Develop and manage Snowflake data models, including performance tuning, clustering, and cost optimization

  • Implement dbt models following analytics engineering best practices (testing, documentation, and version control)

  • Orchestrate workflows and dependencies using Apache Airflow

  • Integrate and support marketing data pipelines, including Adobe Campaign and related marketing analytics tools

  • Partner with data analysts, data scientists, marketing teams, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions

  • Ensure data quality, lineage, and observability through monitoring, validation, and alerting frameworks

  • Mentor junior data engineers and contribute to engineering standards, best practices, and architecture decisions

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 8+ years of experience supporting data warehouse and data engineering environments

  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ELT architectures

  • Experience working in hybrid environments (legacy systems and modern cloud platforms)

  • Hands-on experience with Informatica for legacy ETL workflows

  • Experience integrating external vendor data via web services, APIs, and XML data sources

  • Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and agile development methodologies

  • Experience working with Azure DevOps, Jira, TFS, or similar agile project management tools

  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, changing environments with a flexible and collaborative work style

Total Rewards

The base salary range for this role is $140,000 – $150,000 annually for employees based in Boston, MA. Final compensation may vary and will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, internal equity, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus and first-class benefits, which include:

  • Health & wellness: Comprehensive and heavily subsidized medical, dental, and vision plans, plus on-site gym access, holistic wellness sessions, and group fitness classes

  • Time for you: Substantial Paid Time Off (PTO), and 11 paid holidays — including Juneteenth, Memorial Day, and Labor Day — and Summer Fridays. Plus, extensive parental leave with up to 12–16 weeks paid leave at 100% base salary

  • Travel more, spend less: 50% off our trips for you and a companion, 25% for additional immediate family members, and exclusive quarterly associate travel deals

  • Your future, secured: 401(k) with company match, life insurance, and disability coverage

  • Continuous growth: Tuition assistance for both professional and personal development, opportunities for professional development through overseas travel, and direct access to Pinnacle Leadership & Team Development

  • Extra perks: Commuter benefits, FSA options, pet insurance, home & auto discounts, and paid volunteer time off to give back to the community
