Collections Specialist - HVAC/Electrical/Plumbing
About the Role:
BME is looking for a seasoned Collections Specialist with construction industry experience to manage and reduce accounts receivable across our HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing divisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively follow up on past-due customer accounts
Work with project managers to resolve billing issues or disputes
Track payment status and maintain accurate aging reports
Prepare lien notices and handle collection documentation
Communicate professionally with clients to secure timely payments
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in construction collections
Strong knowledge of lien rights, AIA billing, and payment applications
Excellent communication and follow-up skills
Familiarity with accounting or project management systems
